Meet the AOA Physician Assistants

What is a Physician Assistant?

Physician Assistants are health care professionals licensed to practice medicine with physician supervision. Because of the close working relationship that PA’s have with the physicians, PA’s are educated in the medical model designed to complement physician training. PA’s strive to increase the quality of care that is provided to the patient. PA’s may work in a variety of medical and surgical specialties. For more information on PA’s please visit the American Academy of Physician Assistants website: www.aapa.org.
